WB.37 A rare rosewood veneered Tunbridge Ware combined needlework and trinket cabinet with a view of St. Helena’s Cottage to the stepped lid. The interior is enclosed by two doors, inlaid with quasi-geometric mosaic motifs.
The rising lid opens to reveal sewing compartments and a pincushion, lined in pink silk. The doors enclose three drawers inlaid with differing mosaics, which are velvet lined and fitted with compartments and a watch holder c.1860.

Needlework Accessories #14WB.37 Constructed entirely in end grain mosaic, this view of St Helena's Cottage contains many different veneers. These include lace wood (London Plane), sapwood of Mexican rosewood, holly, plum, apple, laburnum, walnut, beech, ebony, ash, mahogany and yew.
